The sound of Shapla Salique’s soulful voice has captivated audiences from across the globe from as far as Canada to locations closer like Italy and, of course, the UK. As a successful British-Bangladeshi artist, Salique has performed at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and the Houses of Parliament.
Her multicultural musical skills combine jazz and funk with traditional Bengali music to formulate a harmonious blend between East and West. Now returning to her part of her roots here in Birmingham, Salique will be making her city debut on July 23rd at Town Hall in Victoria Square, Birmingham.
The creative strength in Salique’s talent allows her to continue pushing musical boundaries and you can expect to see live performances from her recently accomplished album ‘No Boundaries’ where she and her jazz band perform live for the very first time in Birmingham!
