Lok Natya (The People’s Dance)

In partnership with the Women Empowering Women Group (WEW), Lok Natya welcomes you to take part in fun sessions designed to help your fitness and well-being.

A selection of workshops will enable you to get involved with different South Asian Folk Dance performance:
• Dandiya (originating in Gujarat using sticks called dandiya)
• Bhangra (originating from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan)
• Giddha (originating from the Punjab region of India and Pakistan)

There’s no experience required – just you in some comfy clothes ready to have a good time.

Hosted at Blakeland St Community Room in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, the sessions run at different dates and times across July. If you wish to partake in this free event, do book in advance by contacting anita.kaushik@danecxchange.org.uk

Note there is a limited capacity of 14 participants per workshop and this is a women-only event.
